What is Taika?
In Finnish,Taika means magic — the casting of a good spell.
In Japanese, it signifies progress, calm, and peacefulness.
In Lithuanian, it means peace.
For Poonam Bhagat, it was serendipity. Since January 1991, TAIKA has cast its spell on women who believe elegance need not shout — it simply arrives, draped in natural fibre and quiet confidence.

A self-made designer who turned serendipity into legacy. Poonam Bhagat launched TAIKA on a cold winter's day in January 1991 with one guiding principle — to picture her client in the outfit before sketching a single line.
That singular attunement — to the woman, her individuality, her grace — has defined every collection for over three decades. The result is clothing that never demands attention, yet always commands it.
